Accompany A FAIR WORLD to the Land of Smiles - Thailand - to get to know Fair Trade artisans and cooperatives. Enjoy learning their customs and culture.

Our group will visit artisan shops and homes in Chaing Mai, Hill Tribes in Northern and Eastern Thailand. We will see how they live and can even spend the night in one of the village homes, seeing their traditions in education and cooking. Because so many of our travelers have fallen in love with Thai cuisine, we’ll arrange a Thai cooking class and enjoy an optional river raft. We’ll delve into the unique history of mountain-ringed Chiang Rai in the heart of the storied Golden Triangle and encounter Chiang Mai, a bustling cultural center on the Ping River.

All along the way we will have discoveries unpredicted! We will stop to meet the people and explore how the people and artisans live. You will meet artisans who make silver jewelry, lacquer products, handbags and all silk and cotton accessories, embroidery items, umbrellas, and fabulous batik. Whatever you wish to do and see, you can prepare for an active adventure, but choosing your own pace, keeping your expense under $200 a day total.
